Data Processing Agreement

How we process personal data on behalf of business customers.

Effective date: 22 May 2026
This Data Processing Agreement applies where DigitGlance processes personal data on behalf of a customer. It forms part of our Terms of Service for business customers.

1. Parties

This Agreement is between Digitglance Reliance and the customer using DigitGlance services.

2. Purpose

DigitGlance will process personal data only to provide the services, support the customer, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

3. Customer instructions

The customer is the data controller or primary decision maker unless otherwise agreed.

DigitGlance will process personal data only on lawful instructions from the customer, except where law requires otherwise.

4. Type of data

The platform may process:

  • names
  • emails
  • phone numbers
  • business records
  • invoices
  • customer records
  • payment records
  • staff records
  • student records
  • attendance records
  • payroll records
  • inventory records
  • usage logs

5. Security

DigitGlance will use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access control, authentication, backups, and monitoring. Customer data is stored in Supabase with row level security so each account can only access its own data, and data in transit is encrypted.

6. Confidentiality

Only authorised personnel may access customer data and only where access is required for support, maintenance, or security.

7. Subprocessors

DigitGlance may use third party subprocessors such as hosting providers, email services, payment processors, analytics providers, and support tools. Current subprocessors include Supabase for database and file storage, Vercel for hosting, Paystack for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, and Google Analytics for usage measurement.

We will use reasonable care when selecting such providers.

8. Cross border transfers

Where data is transferred outside Nigeria, DigitGlance will take reasonable steps to protect the data and use appropriate safeguards where required.

9. Data subject requests

Where applicable, DigitGlance will assist the customer with requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability.

10. Breach response

If DigitGlance becomes aware of a personal data breach affecting customer data, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, contain, and notify the customer within a reasonable time.

11. Return or deletion

On termination, DigitGlance will delete or return customer data within a reasonable time unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business reasons such as dispute handling or backups.

12. Audit and cooperation

DigitGlance may provide reasonable cooperation for privacy audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries connected to the service.

13. Customer responsibilities

The customer must:

  • have a lawful basis for uploading data
  • provide any required notices or consents to data subjects
  • configure access properly
  • keep account credentials secure
  • ensure data entered into the system is accurate and lawful

14. Term

This Agreement lasts as long as the customer uses the services and for any additional period needed to complete deletion or return of data.
